Nursery Curriculum

As all children are their own individual person, they deserve a curriculum that reflects their level of development. Children progress at different stages.

At Early Learners we aim to develop the needs of each child by designing our curriculum in such a way that will support our children to reach their milestones. At Early Learners we aim to enable young children to reach their full potential and make responsible and informed choices throughout their time with us.

We do this by providing them with a rich learning programme which promotes and develops their knowledge and understanding across all six areas of learning. This enables our Early Years Practitioners (EYPs) to focus upon developing children’s dispositions and readiness to learn by building on their previous learning experiences, knowledge, skills, interests and developmental stage, in a practical and playful manner.

All children have individual needs, and their level of need may vary during different times of their educational development. If a child requires additional support, the EYP will work in positive partnership with the child’s parents / carers and other professionals to ensure the child’s needs are fully met.

Daily routines are used as part of our curriculum in order to promote and develop fundamental skills such as sharing, co-operation and participation. This is possible through a structured play plan and planned activities. At Early Learners we provide a broad and balanced curriculum, in line with the Curricular Guidance for Pre School Education (2018).
