Today we were visited by our friend George from Belfast City Council. He brought us a wormery and showed us how to set the wormery up. He talked to us about the importance that worms have in enriching the soil and helping things grow.

Some of us liked to feel the worms in our hands. They were very slimey, wriggly and jiggly.

We learnt that a wormery is a fantastic way to recycle food waste. We are excited to look after our worms and feed them lots of vegetables and fruit. We can take home some compost at the end of the year for our mummies and daddies to use in our garden.
