Today, Anna from NI Water came to visit our children in nursery. We talked about how water is important for all living creatures and humans, along with the importance of staying hydrated. She showed the children the water cycle.

The children learned about becoming Water Bosses and how they can play a role in conserving water at home. They learned the importance of not flushing wipes down the toilet and they should be put in the bin instead.
Anna showed us an experiment exploring how dirty water can be filtered through sand using a funnel, leaving behind clean water. We will be using a provided water butt in the nursery in the coming weeks. We were shown water treatment facilities and talked about the importance of these. The children each recieved an NI Water pack to take home, thank you so much!
